So, what exactly is a B Corp certification?

A B Corp, or Benefit Corporation, is a for-profit company that has been certified by B Lab, a global nonprofit organization. B Lab evaluates a company's impact on its workers, customers, community, and environment and grants B Corp certifications to companies that show high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. 

Companies with a B Corp Certification are part of a growing movement of people who use business as a force for good. Over 8,000 organizations in over 95 countries and 160 industries are putting people and the planet over profits, redefining what it means to be successful in business.

Our Journey: How we became B Corp certified

Becoming a B Corp certified company was not a simple process, but it was a natural choice for us. Our mission is to help organizations unlock their digital future, and we live our values of People Matter, Be Like Gumby, and Do It Right. We wanted to align ourselves with a global movement because we truly believe our business can be a force for good, that technology can be a force for good, and to inspire change for the better.  

In the summer of 2021, we began taking steps to complete the B Impact Assessment, a comprehensive evaluation of our social and environmental impact across five areas: governance, workers, environment, community, and customers. The assessment measured how we perform on various indicators, such as our mission and vision, our employee benefits and engagement, our carbon footprint and waste management, our supplier diversity and local involvement, and our customer satisfaction and data protection.

The assessment was rigorous and thorough, requiring us to provide evidence and documentation for each indicator. It also challenged us to reflect on our current practices and identify areas for improvement. We learned a lot from the process and gained valuable insights into how we can become a more responsible and sustainable business. 

We are proud that we were certified with a score of 83.8 on the assessment, surpassing the minimum requirement of 80 to be invited to become a Certified B Corporation®. Our public profile disclosing our score for each area can be seen on B Lab's website.

#EMPOWER, Our Annual Virtual Conference for Nonprofits and Charities

#Empower

We are dedicated to donating 1% or more of our time to volunteering and/or pro bono work for nonprofits and charities who serve our communities.

Our biggest annual giveback initiative is #Empower, a virtual conference designed to offer nonprofits and charities the latest and most relevant content to empower them to achieve their goals and objectives. Since 2020, we have been hosting #Empower every year, providing premium content to nonprofits and charities at absolutely no cost.
