The Metaverse May be Virtual, But the impact will be real
The Metaverse will transform the way people connect, how businesses grow, how creators make a living and bring about better social experiences than anything that exists online today. Meta’s new campaign, ‘The Impact Will Be Real’, which will run in multiple European countries started September 5 and will give you a first glimpse of what these benefits could be.
The Metaverse could also have a real impact on Europe’s digital economy. A white paper produced for Meta by the Analysis Group estimates that if the adoption of the Metaverse in Europe were to grow similarly to mobile technology, it could be associated with a $440 billion contribution to the regional GDP after a decade.

why is virtual reality important to the metaverse?
When it comes to end-users, GlobalData believes the consumer VR market has the most opportunities. The market accounted for 71% of total VR revenue for 2020. Consumer VR markets include gaming and retail. GlobalData also forecasts that the enterprise segment will eventually overtake the consumer segment in the VR market. The research firm predicts that the enterprise VR market will account for 62% of total VR revenue by 2030.
